THE HYPOCRISY OF HOLLYWOOD IN SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN
I cannot take the hypocrisy of Hollywood anymore. Here is a man that is living out his "50 Shades of Grey fantasies and he is being raked over the coals and the women are protesting? And to boot, he has been fired from NBC with over 25 years under his belt (no punn intended), of loyalty. Does it sound like I'm taking Matt's side and discounting this woman's experience and others? No, not at all. I commend the moral high ground here, but I must say, I am a little taken back. Here is an industry that promotes sexual fantasies, sexual promiscuity, sexual deviancy, but when a man engages in it, he is ridiculed and condemned. Men are confused in our society today as to how we are supposed to behave, morally. Life portrayed in the studios and what sells millions of dollars is either our reality or it is not! Men are confused? So what you are saying is Matt can't have one of the hotsy, totsy, employees from NBC summoned to his office, lock the door from his secret button under his desk, ask her to take off her blouse and then begin to have sex with her? Why? 50 shades of Grey raked in the money at the Theaters so much so that they are releasing a part II, and to add to that, it's going to be "50 Darker Shades of Grey". How much darker could it get? And Hollywood encourages men and women to spend another gross amount of income to go see the movie, men and women, watch and be sexually aroused (I would assume those going to see it are going for that) but then when you leave, laugh it off and realize, that the movie is pure Sexual Harassment and surely you would never attempt to do that in real life...or would you? Surely Matt is just living out his sexual fantasies, brought to him by the movie screens of Hollywood. What are we saying? Are we saying that sex should be monogamous, between married couples? That's starting to sound pretty puritanical. That's starting to sound, pretty moral, that's starting to sound..., pretty Christian! The hypocrisy is that women and executives will take the high ground here but yet allow the Porn Industry (that rakes in millions and millions of dollars) to continue to exist, going unscathed by any of this. How is that? An industry that exploits women, that promotes sexual harassment and treats women like animals. An industry that creates sex robots, further enhancing the perversion in men, that women are meant for one thing; and if we can get it from a Robot, and she (the robot looks hot) then we are okay with that. Matt Lauer was no doubt living out Porn images in his mind that he has obviously viewed. If Hollywood, NBC, CBS, FOX News & Politicians are going to take the "High Ground" than let's talk about the "Elephant in the room" and that is, the movies that Hollywood promotes and the Porn Industry, that fuels and reinforces sexual harassment of women, but when that man steps out and acts on it, he gets slapped, rebuked and chastised. Is Matt wrong, if found guilty by evidence, absolutely! Did NBC do the right thing, if true, absolutely! Do I have empathy for this women and others, victimized by sexual harassment, absolutely! But we cannot take the moral high ground and ignore the Elephant in the Room. The Perversion and Sexual deviancy of Hollywood and the Porn industry must be taken down, by the efforts of these same men and woman, if we TRULY do care about the rights and dignity of Women and the epidemic of sexual harassment, make not mistake, it's being fueled by a source, a power, we don't want to take down!
