"3 DAYS FROM THANKSGIVING, I'M THANKFUL..............I'M NOT BILL COSBY!"

Today, is Monday, things are not going all that well in my personnel life, it’s about 4 days away from Thanksgiving and I must think about, “what am I grateful for”. And today, as I read the news, I am thankful for one thing, I am thankful that…… “I am not Bill Cosby”.  Bill Cosby, with all his money, fame & prestige, wishes himself, that he was not “Bill Cosby”, at least not today! Can we say, it’s all…… “hitting the fan”, right now, for Mr. Cosby.  Today I can find solace that things may not be wonderful for me, but they are not as bad as they are for the man that has been an American Icon of moral uprightness for the pass few decades. However I can also add that I have not done the things that Bill Cosby has done either. (I know, I know, “innocent until proven guilty).  Well, all I have to say to that is……”Tiger Woods!”  All I’m saying is…when this many women are coming out, it’s either a vast conspiracy or THE TRUTH. I started living by a rule many years ago that goes something like this, “don’t ever do anything that if ever you were asked about, you know pretty much, you would be forced to lie because you would never admit to such embarrassing behavior”.  As human beings we will all be faced with the temptation to succumb to degrading and degenerate behavior. There’s nothing we can really do about the thoughts and temptations that enter our degenerate minds, but there is plenty we can do about “not acting out on them”.   The Achilles heal for men, no doubt, is beautiful woman. Of course the know about the great greek god Achilles who’s vulnerable spot was his heel, thence we have the term “Achilles heal” synonymous with someone’s weakness. However, a much more believable story than Achilles trying to take down Troy, but only being defeated by his vulnerable heel, would be a story of Achilles trying to take down Troy but being taken out by a beautiful woman. Again, I am grateful today I am not Bill Cosby, but then again, I have not done the things that he has “been reported” that Mr. Cosby has done. We all have the opportunity to give in to our base nature. Some choose not to give in to their base nature; others choose simply to give in and have at it. Some of those men/women that choose to give in, are incarcerated today, However, others walk freely amongst us. They work with us, live next door to us and smile at us daily.  Time is our enemy, isn’t it! If Bill had died years ago, this probably would never have surfaced. If it wasn’t for time we would live for ever and if it wasn’t for time we would get a way with so much!!! Before I made this pact with myself not to do anything that I would be to embarrassed to admit, I once had a “bad week-end”, ever have one of those? Well, I covered up my tracks and it was exactly a year later that it all hit the fan. Time was my enemy. Time is every man’s enemy and time is Bill Cosby’s enemy right now. For some reading this today, time will be your enemy too, you can count on it. You may beat the odds, but chances are you won’t. Today, 3 days away from Thanksgiving, I’m thankful I’m not Bill Cosby, are you? Today, I’m thankful that many years ago I made a pact with myself, “never do anything, that if caught or questioned, I know I would never tell the truth” perhaps today is a good day for others to make that same pact, it will save you one day, from all the embarrassment and shame that Mr. Cosby is about to go through, and even worse, his innocent wife and children are all going to have to go through the embossment and shame, that their father will put them through, because of his “unproven, but yet vastly reported”, indiscretions .
