A Rape on Campus: A Brutal Assault and Struggle for Justice at UVA

I can’t wait to see “what changes” they make at U of A.  These changes by be worthy of noting as I’m sure they are going to be historic, monumental, scientific way to re-program human nature, especially men. How does a young man navigate his way through a society, a culture of women that are posting pictures of their bare buttocks on line for men to view (Kim Kardashian), woman taking off their tops at birthday parties (Miley Cyrus), woman walking around with mini skirts with no underwear (Paris Hilton) sex tapes being released (Pam Anderson), naked pictures being released on the internet (Rihanna, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst and over 100 other women) revealing all. Who is doing this? It’s women. Who are these women, standing in their bedrooms, bathrooms and taking pictures of themselves naked? Is it your wife, your sister, your mother, your daughter, who are these women? It used to be that Playboy had to fork out some serious cash to pay a women to shed all, today they are doing it for free. This is every day, every week, every month. It is hard enough being married with these onslaughts, but I could not imagine being single, thinking then somehow that I have some kind of license to participate in this debauchery, after all, I am single. The eyes are the gateway to the heart and the mind and these young men are being bombarded with sensual, sexual images that are stirring the pot like a pressure cooker thateventually starts screaming when the steams comes out. Well, the pressure cooker of the young men of this generation is steaming and the men are screaming. Yes, man must take control over his impulses no doubt, but how much control does a man have when such enormous amounts of stimuli is being induced into his mind and then alcohol is thrown in to the mix to lower inhabitation that much more? What changes is the University going to make internally, that is going to be able to change all that is taking place externally. It is a generation of sexually immoral, crazed people that goes even beyond the 1970’s, the so called sexual revolution. I say, “immoral sex” because that is really the appeal here.  It’s the base temptation of humans to be immoral. Why is it that the #1 complaint in marriages is “lack of sex” if we are such a “sex crazed culture?” It seems like sanctioned sex is not what we are obsessed with after all.  What excites, what intrigues is the “unsanctioned sex”, the ability to hook up, have all the physical pleasure without any commitment. Take what you want and go. It is truly the old temptation of the “forbidden fruit” that allures us and taste so sweat. It is the naughtiness of the deed that tempts. It is the naughtiness of being quite exhibitionist that obviously is driving many woman in their own sexual perversions. We think of exhibitionism as  “a mental disorder” as classified by the Diagnostic Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DMS III) and when we think about “exhibitionism” we think of the dirty old man, naked under his trench coat, wanting so badly to expose himself. That image is by-gone; today exhibitionism is not a ugly dirty old man, but Rihanna, Paris Hilton, Kate Upton, Kim Kardashian.  Exhibitionism is alive and kicking at the American Music Awards, MTV Awards or any Hollywood Bash. And who are the exhibitionists? The women! When it’s an ugly old man in a trench coat we despise the ugliness of exhibitionism, when it’s a beautiful, young woman reveal her nakedness to whomever, we think it’s great and don’t see it for what it is, but yet it’s the same, twisted, perverted behavior that is in the old man. Somebody is getting off on this and obviously it is not just the men, the women are enjoying themselves too. So basically women have given themselves over to exhibitionism, the men have given themselves over to voyeurism. Now let’s have an experiment, let’s take the exhibitionist woman and put them together with the voyeuristic male, let’s throw some alcohol and drugs in the mix and now let’s step back and see what happens….WHAT A RAPE HAPPENED?!?!  NO WAY?
This generation has become a generation of sick exhibitionists and voyeurisms, saturated into the fabric of our society and we have a University saying they are going to make some changes. They make it sound as simple as correcting a recipe for Banana Bread that went wrong.  But hasn’t it been the Liberal Universities that taught us “situational ethics”, hasn’t it been the liberal Universities that taught us tolerance and not to judge.
What’s right for you may not be what’s right for someone else. Morality is relative, everything comes in shades of grey. Sounds to me like the University is getting ready to make some things “black & white”. Sounds to me like the University is getting ready to judge some behavior as “morally & ethically wrong”. Will anybody notice that they are completely contradicting everything they have taught these students, by their actions, now that there is public pressure on them “to fix” a problem that is too big for them to fix.  If you’ve ever been enrolled in College than you know that any party is going to mimic what is seen in Hollywood events, it will be a party with much exhibitionism (by the women) on full display, voyeurism is fully engaged (by the men) and there will be no shortage of alcohol and drugs. And so for all these years the University has just closed their eyes to this and said, “Let’s just hope for the best, let’s just believe that men and woman will restrain themselves.” Well, how’s that working so far? Let’s not even talk about the date rape drug “zolpidem [z-drug] that has also been thrown into the mix.
The men are SCREAMING OUT, I can’t take it anymore!!! No doubt it is a male, somewhere in his mama’s basement that has come up with the date rape drug. I find it   presumptuous and arrogant for any University to claim to have a fix for the problem that we are facing in today’s society. We have a wild fire in the woods with winds and drought and they think they are just going to get a hose out and put out the fire. Are they really that naïve?  It is as foolish as putting a band-aid on a cancer victim. The band-aid may cover the wound, but the poisonous venom of cancer eats away underneath the band aid. I am so looking forward to reading about the changes the University is going to make that I may not sleep; until I find out and what the genius solutions is they come up with, then we can all quickly begin to implement these miracle fixes to our Colleges & Universities all across the country and say, “there you go, see the big band-aid, all is well,  let’s sleep sound tonight….., while the poison continues to erode, destroy, kill & violate, the fabric of our society and continue to violate women and men. Let’s all sleep well tonight; the University of Virginia is going to make some changes!
